My Cards Printed for the First Time Ever!

 I have been making handmade cards forever, but I am very excited that my cards have been printed for the first time ever! 

I have had invitations and wedding programs reproduced by a printer, but never my greeting card designs. The company I work for printed 200 cards from one of my designs! 

I was so excited when the cards arrived...in sealed packaging! It felt very official. ;) It was awesome for the company to encourage my artwork in this way, and an honor to design a Christmas card for it!

My plan is have more of my cards reproduced and available in print soon!

Will you be my Bridesmaid?

I was so excited to ask these lovely ladies to be in our wedding! Each girl has been such a wonderful friend to me. I wanted to ask in a special way.

One of the first thing in every bridesmaid's mind is, "what color are we wearing?" I made these cards by cutting dresses out of scrapbook paper that matched our wedding color scheme to give the girls an idea. {Excuse the photos, they were taken with my not-smart phone ;)}

 

 

These were such a simple way to "pop the question", but who doesn't love getting mail?? I couldn't wait to hear the replies. :)

I know, who has time to cut and paste all these little dresses? You're in luck, because I already did all the work for you! These little bridesmaid dress sets are now on my Etsy shop. If I don't have your colors available, please contact me and I would be happy to whip up a custom set for you!

Watercolor Greeting Cards

Watercolor greeting cards are my new favorite way to satisfy those sudden painting urges! I'm one of those impatient individuals who likes to see immediate results. With these, I have a painting complete in one sitting, and I can give them away without frames!

Fall Craft Fair

This weekend, I participated in the Fall Craft Fair hosted by Unique Boutiques and Marketplace! 

It was FREEZING in the morning, but turned out to be a beautiful day! My favorite part was putting together a set up for my table. 

Once everything was set up, I sat there and drew more cards...

gave out lots of business cards....

and even sold some artwork!

I had a chance to browse around at all the booths and sneak some Christmas shopping in too. ;)

Thanks to my wonderful mom for helping and hanging out with me. I thoroughly enjoyed the day!

What I Use...

For those of you who have asked how I make my cards....

Here's what I use!

These Prismacolor Colored Pencils are AMAZING! Somewhat expensive, but definitely worth the investment. 

I would recommend Prismacolor to any artist! 

A few features I love about them...

*They draw incredibly smooth! They blend so easily to create the same effect as chalk or paint.

*The color is rich and vibrant even on dark paper

*These pencils last FOREVER! I have been using mine for seven years and I use them.

*Prismacolors come in all different quantities. You could spend a little and get basic colors, or go for the awesome package of every color imaginable!!

I kinda like them...a little ;)
