How To: Felt Poinsettia Ornaments

I wanted to add some red to our Christmas tree. These felt poinsettias are so simple, but a gorgeous touch!

They took only minutes to make...

You will need:

1 sheet of red felt (for 2 flowers)
1 sheet of green felt
pearl beads
ribbon or string
scissors
hot glue gun

1. Draw a 5 pointed flower with sharpie onto your sheet of red felt. Cut out your shape.

 2. Draw 5 more individual petals, and cut them out.

 3. Apply a  1/2 line down the bottom of one of your petals.

 4. Squeeze the bottom tip together.

5. Repeat with all 5 petals.

 6. Glue the petals onto the flower you cut out in between its petals.

 7. Glue your pearls in the center of the poinsettia.

 8. Draw 2 leaf shapes on your green felt and cut them out.

 9. Turn flower over and glue leaves where desired.

 10. Finally, create a loop from a small piece of ribbon or string. Glue down to the back of the flower.

Wasn't that easy?! I hope you are enjoying all the Christmas colors and cheer in your home as much as I am!
