Happy Mother's Day!

My mom has done so much for me, I can't even begin to express how blessed I am to have her! Christ's love has just shone through her. Thank you so much Mom for introducing me to Jesus and teaching me what unconditional love looks like! I love you so much!!!

When I enter Heaven's glory And I see my Savior's face,
I will offer Him ten thousand years of praise.
Then I'll find that special one In whose life I saw God's Son,
And through tears of joy with trembling lips
These words I'll say:
I saw Jesus in you,
I saw Jesus in you.
I could hear His voice in the words you said I saw Jesus in you.
In your eyes I saw His care,
I could see His love was there.
You were faithful,

And I saw Jesus in you.
When I stand before my Father
To receive my life's reward,

And my soul is bathed in God's eternal day,

When this race on earth is run,

And God sees the works I've done,

More than any thing I long to hear my Father say:
I saw Jesus in you,

I saw Jesus in you.
I could hear His voice in the words you said
I saw Jesus in you.

In your eyes I saw His care,
I could see His love was there. You were faithful,
And I saw Jesus in you.

Humble pie is hard to swallow...

I am reading Humility by CJ Mahaney...what a powerful book!

"Pride is when sinful human beings aspire to the status and position of God and refuse to acknowledge their dependence upon Him."

"Pride lifts up one's heart against God and 'contends for supremacy' with Him."

YIKES! To define pride in this way and then realize how closely it describes yourself is certainly stretching!!

"The proud person seeks to glorify himself and not God, thereby attempting in effect to deprive God of something only He is worthy to receive."

"And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind....

Wow! We truly are SO unworthy, SO hopeless and lost in our foolish pride. The passage doesn't end there though...

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." ~Ephesians 2:1-7

Praise God for His great love!!

A few of my favorite things...

I love Valentine's day! It has been such an awesome opportunity to think about the perfect gift of love we have through Jesus Christ! I am so thankful that we can have hope in Him and know what true love really is...

"By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers." (1 John 3:16)

pink and red are my favorite colors! They are everywhere...

It just makes me so happy!

I made tons of valentine cards this week! So fun :)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Snow in the South

We got snowed in this weekend!

Luke COULD NOT wait to go outside...so we went tubing!

The golf course made an awesome tubing hill!!

Since we weren't going anywhere, I decided to see what my hair would look like curly :)...

I also had plenty of time to read. I just started this book, and I love it already!

And painting time of course!

I got these frames for 10 cents at a yard sale. I'm not sure how they will turn out...I guess we'll see!
Maybe snow isn't all that bad :)
